Delete your Word Flick account
Word Flick is the only Grindstone Studio app with user accounts. Here's how to delete your account and the data linked to it.

How to request deletion
Word Flick doesn't have a delete button inside the app yet, so deletion requests are handled by email. You don't need to have the app installed to make a request.
- Using the email address you signed up with, write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Word Flick account".
- Include your username, so we can find the right account.
- We'll reply within 2 business days to confirm we've received your request. If the request didn't come from the address on the account, we'll ask you to confirm it from that address first.
- We delete your account and its data within 30 days of confirming the request, and email you when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account: your email address and password credentials.
- Your profile: username, status message and profile photo.
- Your game data: stars, rankings and referral code. (Your list of solved words is stored on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app.)
- The device identifier stored with your account.
- Your entry on the leaderboard, and any feedback linked to your account.
What we may keep
- Information we must keep to comply with the law or resolve a dispute, for only as long as that requires.
- Our email conversation about your request, as a record that we completed it.
- Data held by Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics, which is linked to your device rather than to your account. To limit it, delete or reset your advertising ID as described in our Privacy Policy.
Signing out is not the same as deleting
Logging out from the Profile screen removes your account details from your phone, but your account stays on our servers until you ask us to delete it. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account either.
Our other apps
Our other apps don't have accounts, so there is no account to delete. To remove what they store on your phone, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. For questions about any app's data, see our Privacy Policy or email [email protected].
